Project Information

Project Objectives

Ravensbourne Place provides a mix of high-quality one, two and three-bedroom apartments for rent (365 units in total), spread over 3 blocks. Amenities for residents to enjoy include a library, private dining room, gym, co-working spaces, games room, garden room and cinema, in addition to landscaped gardens and a roof top sky deck.

Works done:

BSel were appointed as the tiling contractor on this scheme to deliver tiling to the bathroom and ensuite floor areas within the apartments as well as tiled communal and amenity areas including:

  • 1200m² of bathroom/ensuite pod floor tiling
  • Applying self levelling compound to all 365 units prior to floor tiling
  • Tiling over access hatches within each bathroom/ensuite
  • 700m² of wall and floor tiling to amenity and communal areas
  • Entrance mattings to all 3 blocks

Project Outcomes

The works were completed on time and in line with the main contractor’s schedules.

Lessons Learned

  • Working collaboratively with Project Managers from Main Contractor to systematically plan works in line with other trades. This enabled us to improve efficiencies and reduce standing time.
  • Ensuring tiling was completed to a high standard first time to reduce snags, reduced our costs and ensured we met deadlines.
